| American Child Photographers Charity Guild (ACPCG)
Since leaving journalism in a full-time
capacity, I had been searching for a way in which I could use my skills to
continue serving my community. I am proud to say I am a part of this
organization.
The American Child Photographers Charity Guild
provides for parents experiencing a critically ill, extremely premature newborn
or early infant loss at any stage the opportunity for heirloom memories of
their precious baby.
At the family request, a photographer will
come to the hospital location for a professional and sensitive photography
session. The photographer will then supply the family a CD of all the images
taken that can be reproduced by the family up to a 5x7-inch print size.
The ACPCG is a non-profit, volunteer based
organization of child photographers from all over the world who have come
together to form a guild dedicated to infants and children in the Neonatal
Intensive Care Units of their local hospitals or children in their areas with
terminal illnesses and to helping their families by providing complimentary
portrait sessions. These professional photographers donate their time and
services in helping families to create a lifetime of memories in moments. There
are no fees for this service.
